The works of Kristian Kreković
This is very interesting! First, Kristian Kreković's motives are very, in fact, completely atypical for Lika. Secondly, his works are not in the museum, but in the National Library and the Town Hall of the Perušić Municipality.
Maybe at first glance the location looks inappropriate, but I think it has some advantages. If the oil paintings (33 of them) were in a museum in Perušić, the question is how many people would see them. I got to know them precisely through the municipal hall, where I have been countless times due to work. On one such occasion, Nikola and Matea were interested members of the public at a session of the Committee for Strategic Studies and thus became my photo models. They are very excited to end up in the guide.
Kristian was born in the village of Koprivna in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and died in Palma de Mallorca. Of course, now you are wondering what he has to do with Perušić. His father, Roko, was born in Perušić, which those who know this area, thanks to his surname, could immediately guess.
If you are in Palma de Mallorca, go to the "Museu Kreković" gallery. If you are in Perušić, contact the library and they will gladly take you through the exhibition.
