I meant to paraphrase the French writer Guy de Maupassant who allegedly had lunch every day for ten years at the restaurant on the Eiffel Tower, not because he liked it, but because it was the only place in Paris from which the tower itself could not be seen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, when I read the description on the board next to the viewpoint, I gave up (did I?) and decided to write part of what the author himself, Baja, says about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Visually, the object is designed to resemble human DNA, which consists of 23 chromosomes (a total of 23 steps), symbolizing the centuries-old struggle of the people of this region for freedom and their own existence and the future expected progress in the 21st century (21 active steps). The weight of the object (7,491 kg) is also symbolic because the number 7 symbolizes the 7th century and the arrival of Croats (according to legend two sisters and five brothers, one of whom is Koseniz, the founder of the town of Kosinj), while 491 symbolizes the year of the first Glagolitic printing press (1491 ).\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, everything has its reason, and time will tell, just like with the Eiffel Tower, whether Ivan or Baja knows better.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
