This fort was built in the Middle Ages on the northern part of the slope where the Udbina settlement was built. The settlement is still there, and the remains of the fort remain, as the name suggests. A little, but enough for us to recognize the outline of the tower in the center, and the archaeologists to have a plenty of fun.

The fortress was built in the 13th century by the Kurjaković princes of Krbav and was subsequently upgraded several times, until it was abandoned at the very end of the 17th century. I got a little lost in the professional literature related to Gradina and it would have been wiser to have looked at the info board right away. I was brought to Gradina by Mr. Brkić from the Municipality, who is personally responsible for its installation. Thank him.

I know you know this, but I will repeat to you anyway that the forts were mostly built on easily defensible and elevated positions, so even though there are no walls, there are views. Unfortunately, the view towards Krbavsko field is obscured by vegetation.
