For influencers

Church of Saint Petka

Usually influencer places are super famous and seen many times, but I see photos from this place very rarely. Here's an opportunity for you. I was, unfortunately, alone, without the girl in the colorful dress who is looking into the distance and holding a straw hat with the words "Summer vibes" with one hand. I haven't even been at sunset time in the winter when the sun might be right in the background.

Cool factor:   Sweat and tears:

Orlov kuk

The Crnopac mountain shelter (Tatek's shelter) has a wonderful view to the east and the sunrise, but the view to the west is obscured. About a 20-minute walk from the shelter is Orlov kuk (Eagle's Rock), which offers a wonderful view to the west. The trail is not often used and not well marked so be careful. See the instructions for the path of the Little Prince.

Orlov kuk

I love this monument, firstly, because it is unusual, and secondly, because it is not dedicated to a special person, but to the road and to all those who built it more than two and a half centuries ago. The best time to take photos is sunset, which is, of course, perfect for you. The monument is located above the Oštarijska vrata (Oštarijska Gate), and if you don't know how to get there, you have instructions in the description for Kiza peak.

Cool factor:   Sweat and tears:

Sveto Brdo

This is a hoax and you have to work hard to get to Sveto brdo, but if a 7-year-old kid can have a photo like this, so can you. When you post it, tag yourself and share it on the influencer's profile, followers will like it and the post will go viral. The winter version of the photo is just as attractive, and it will also give you a dose of adventurous spirit.

Cool factor:   Sweat and tears:

Krupa viewpoint

If you go from the Kudin most on the right side of the Krupa, you will first pass a short and sweet via ferrata, and after a few hundred meters, at the point where the Krnjeza flows into the Krupa, the trail separates and climbs steeply towards the viewpoint and further towards the parking lot. After the lookout point, the trail is a bit more difficult to follow because several paths intertwine. Read the instructions for the Kudin most.

Cool factor:   Sweat and tears:

Tulove grede

Tulove grede are probably the most famous stone formation in Croatia, so the picture from its top should attract attention. Once you get out of the car, if you're skilled, the ascent takes less than 45 minutes, and the descent back to the car a little shorter, so it's no problem to be up while the sun is setting. See instructions for Tulove grede.

Cool factor:   Sweat and tears:

Zir Zen

Only now I realized that it would be really unfair to create a section "For influencers" without Zir Zen itself. If that's not the place for top influencer photography, then I don't know what else could be. Also, the ratio of effort and effect is incomparably better than any other location.

Cool factor:   Sweat and tears:

Orlov kuk

We already have Orlov kuk in this section, and the idea of reappearing is that just a few tens of meters to the south there are several very interesting places that, if you follow the markings, will not discover. A little before the top, turn south and take a peek. I have been here many times, but mostly alone. This was an exception. See instructions for the Little Prince trail.

Cool factor:   Sweat and tears:

Pueblo

For a true influencer, there is nothing better than risking your life for a good photo. Stand on the edge of the Zrmanja river canyon and satisfy your primal urges. Pueblo is a very famous and visited place, but it seems to me that its big disadvantage is that you have to be far away from the camera, so the canyon will stand out more than you.

Cool factor:   Sweat and tears:

Zir

We have already learned a lot about Zir. The view from its top has an excellent ratio of effort invested and what you get for it. If you only need to visit one location from this guide, then make it Zir. If you're cool like me, get up at four in the morning and wait for the dawn over the sea of fog.

Cool factor:   Sweat and tears:

Dougas C47

At the very entrance to the Željava military base, you will be greeted by a Douglas C47 aircraft, which is the most photogenic from the air, but since I do not use a drone, I am attaching a photo from a human perspective. Nice photos could be taken inside the tunnels themselves. With everything easily accessible by car, there's no reason not to explore. See instructions for the Željava military base.

Cool factor:   Sweat and tears:

Sklonište Crnopac

The Crnopac shelter is one of the most visited but also the most romantic mountain shelters on Velebit. It is located in the Crnopac massif and is the perfect place to watch the sunrise. It is enough to open the door of the shelter and you are already in the right place. To arrive, see the instructions for the Little Prince trail. By the way, this shelter was my biggest inspiration for Zir Zen.

Cool factor:   Sweat and tears:

Planet Kruščica

In the summer, when the water level is low, walking along what was the bottom of Lake Kruščica during the rest of the year, becomes a surreal experience, like walking on another planet. It is incredible how even over fifty years after the lake was created, the trunks of some trees are still defiantly standing in the middle of the lake.

Cool factor:   Sweat and tears:

Veliki Bat

Kojim god putem došli, morat ćete se dobro potruditi da se popenjete, ali nagrada za uspon na Bat je, kao što vidite, neprocjenjiva. Kada ste već gore, svratite i do Orlovog kuka na zalazak sunca.
