The old town Perušić

I remember the fort from the time when it didn't have a roof and it will take me some time to get used to it, but the conservators say that this is exactly how the tower looked when it was built.
Instead of shingles, which was abandoned due to costs, the roof will be covered with biber roof tiles, which was a common covering on fortifications from that era, so the reconstruction will still be historically correct. Speaking of history, the fort was built before the arrival of the Turks, so it cannot possibly be a Turkish tower, as many call it.
The space between the wall and the roof will be glazed. On three floors inside the tower there will be a souvenir shop and exhibition space with historical artifacts .
When I was visiting, the fort was closed to visitors due to reconstruction. However, I know people in the Municipality of Perušić and one of them, Mihael, is a key person, because he has a key, so I had the opportunity to explore the tower.
