Via ferrata Bat
It was high time that this part of Croatia finally got a real beautiful via ferrata. It is of medium difficulty and excellently equipped (safe), but you should keep in mind that it is about a kilometer long, overcomes a 370-meter height difference, and the return is over extremely demanding terrain and will take about two and a half hours.
First, let me explain right away that this is a rather demanding excursion, which, if you do not have experience with this part of Velebit, will probably take you much longer than you planned. If you bring cubs with you, take good care of them. Not so much on the via ferrata itself, which is exceptionally well secured, but above all on the way back.
So, it takes about 45 minutes from Prezid to the via ferrata. For the via ferrata itself, if you are not very fast, expect more than two hours. After going up to Bat, you need about one hour on very inaccessible terrain and a partially poorly marked path to the Crnopac Shelter and then another hour and a half to return to Prezid. A total of five and a half hours in which you should be attentively concentrated.
