My father told me that he heard on television when the famous Croatian alpinist Stipe Božić said that the view from Sveto Brdo (Saint Hill) is one of the most beautiful views that the mountains of the world offer. I don't think either of them are lying.

Although Sveto Brdo is not the highest peak of Velebit, because Vaganski vrh cuts it by 6 meters, the view it offers is breathtaking. Lika under the snow, the Adriatic Sea bathed in the sun, the summit ridge in the red of the sunset, Crnopac in the southeast... It is simply best to turn around 360° several times.

A few minutes after my then 7-year-old son and I reached the top, he turned to me and said, "Dad, I can't stop admiring!" That should be enough incentive for you.

Sveto Brdo can be reached from several different directions. The parking lot for the ascent via Mali Alan is marked here, and my personal favorite access is via Bunovac, which is described in the section for Vaganski peak. It will take you a little more than 3 hours from the parking lot to the top.
