Do you know which is the highest peak in Zadar County? I think the question is appropriate, but this is not the right place for the question because the answer is, obviously, Kremen. I am ashamed that I only found out from the guests of Zir Zen that this peak even exists, and it is 1576 meters high.

My first visit blew me away. I was greeted by a beautifully lit beech forest on an equally beautiful green carpet of grass. In one part of the forest, the path is quite steep and secured with rope, but this is not something you should worry about.

On the way back, my car was so covered in flies that it was brown instead of white. If I were a chameleon, I would definitely live under Kremen, catch flies and wipe my eyes with my tongue. At the spot where the path separates from the macadam, there is also a source of water, so I would have everything a chameleon needs.

Mazinski Pass is the starting point of access. You decide for yourself whether you will leave your car there or, as I always do, continue left on the macadam and park after 3.9 km, in the first sharp right turn, just below the first rocks. The marked path leads across a small clearing that descends to the bend.
