I saw the Church of Saint Petka countless times from the highway and it took me several years before I finally visited it. I can't wait for a beautiful sunset in which the church and Zir will get a beautiful yellow-red background. A very beautiful place that I rarely see in photos.

The church is not located in a settlement, but on a gentle rise in a field, and that's why I especially like it. I consider it as a bone of human history. Fossil of ancient times. I imagine how this hill looked like 200 years ago, filled with people.

According to archival data, the church was built in 1809, while folklore does not speak of its construction but of its transfer from the village of Raduč. It is not certain whether it was built or transferred, but it is certain that it was destroyed in the Second World War.

The easiest way to get to the church is to turn left from the state road D522 towards Kik. Immediately after the crossing, keep to the right and follow the macadam for the next two kilometers. On the left side, a narrow gravel road separates under the transmission line. After 250 m you reach Sveta Petka.
